May 8 to May 10, 2024, Yunnan ZhongmuAgriculture and ForestryLi Jinhui, a technical expert from Yunnan Zhongmu Development Co., Ltd., and a senior teacher in the planting and management of star anise in Funing, was invited to teach at the 2024 Star Anise Planting Management Technical Training Course for participants.

In the theoretical course, Teacher Li Jinhui taught the participantsthe basic theoretical knowledge of star anise planting methods, management techniques, grafting techniques, and low-yield forest transformation and pest control techniques, and explained related content such as the development trends of under-planting in star anise forests, suitable varieties, and planting benefits, while interacting and communicating with the participants. The course content was rich, targeted, practical, and easy to understand, receiving unanimous praise from the participants and achieving good results.In the practical course, participants went to the San Yashu base of Yunnan Zhongmu Agricultural and Forestry Development Co., Ltd. for on-site teaching. Teacher Li Jinhui provided a detailed introduction to the technical points, operational methods, and precautions of scientific star anise planting management, and demonstrated on-site techniques such as trenching and fertilization, tip pruning, branch thinning, crown grafting, and pest control measures for star anise. He also provided one-on-one guidance to the participants, correcting some errors and bad habits they had in their daily star anise planting and management processes, laying a solid foundation for their future work in star anise planting, management, and pest control.
This training integrated theoretical training with practical courses, providing substantial content. Participants gained a thorough understanding of scientific star anise planting management techniques, and their practical skills were effectively improved, laying a solid foundation for future independent scientific star anise planting management.
Yunnan Zhongmu Agricultural and Forestry Development Co., Ltd. attaches great importance to talent cultivation, having formed a team of expert technical services. Currently, there are 10 technical personnel in star anise planting management, including 2 senior engineers and 1 senior teacher in Funing star anise planting management, with a regular and effective approach.
To provide technical training for the public, a technical service department has been established to track and evaluate effectiveness, cultivating a group of local technical talents in star anise. As of now, 60 sessions of star anise planting management technical training have been conducted in 13 townships (towns) across the county, as well as in Yanshan, Guangnan, Malipo, Maguan, and Xichou counties, with over 6,500 participants.技术人员10人，其中，高级工程师2人，富宁八角种植管理高级师1人，常态化长效化为群众开展技术培训，设立技术服务部跟踪问效，培养一批八角乡土技术人才。截至目前，在全县13个乡（镇）及砚山、广南、麻栗坡、马关、西畴5个县开展八角种植管理技术培训60期6500余人（次）。
